Our Big News:  Gillespie Home Inspection is now Insight Home Services!  Same great company just a great new name to go with it.

Gillespie Home Inspection

All homes have issues.  The only question is, how serious are they?

At Insight Home Services, our inspectors know the difference between major and minor problems.  Our reporting system communicates that difference to you.  Your home inspection report helps in the negotiating process and in future maintenance and repairs.

What is a Home Inspection?

An inspection is not an appraisal or a municipal code inspection.  Insight Home services will not pass or fail a house; we will simply describe in detail its condition.  Our inspection reports help you to make an informed decision about the home.

Our professional home inspection is a visual examination and analysis of the physical structure and mechanical components of the home.  It will identify the problems and offer solutions for repairs and replacements.  All of our home inspections are conducted according to the stringent Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

Why do I need a home inspection?

The buyer, seller and real estate broker all benefit from an inspection.  The buyer will understand better what is being purchased, gaining insight into his or her new home.  The seller and real estate agent will obtain information that will help avoid delay in the real estate transaction by discovering problems before the transaction is complete - reducing liability and avoiding litigation.  This avoidance increases the likelihood of a smooth and complete real estate transaction.

Why should I use Insight Home Services?

Our technical expertise is built on a 15-year track record in the inspection industry.  We do not solicit or perform any of the work we recommend.  We are not affiliated with any contractor, nor do we give or receive any referral fees.  This assures you that our recommendations are objective and unbiased.

The report you receive is an industry leader!  Your inspection report includes details of our findings in an easy-to-understand manner and prioritizes our findings based on their importance.  To accommodate your time concerns, we can deliver the full-length report the next business day as well as deliver them to you in electronic format.

Because timeliness is important, we can usually schedule your inspection within a few days from your call. We highly recommend you attend the inspection to gain first-hand knowledge on the condition of the home.

Our fees vary based on the size of the home and other factors.  An exact fee will be quoted when you call.  Beware of the low-cost inspection.  As with all industries, you can probably find someone who will perform a low-cost inspection.  But will they be around next month to explain their report and answer your questions?  Because the home purchase is such an important investment, saving a little on the inspection is generally not a wise move.

As an added service to those involved with the transaction, we carry E&O insurance to offer you added peace of mind.
